Stay Healthy and Safe During Extreme Heat

Environment Canada issues heat alerts when:

• The humidex is 40°C or higher for two consecutive days
• Daily temperatures are expected to reach 31°C or higher and overnight temperatures are at least 20°C or higher, for two consecutive days

Public Health lists at-risk populations and ways to protect yourself during a heat warning. 

Cooling Spaces in Lincoln

Anyone seeking relief from the extreme heat is welcome at the following Town facilities and outdoor spaces during heat alerts, subject to Holiday Hours.

Outdoor Pool

• Allan F. Gretsinger outdoor pool (4361 Central Avenue, Beamsville) and Jordan Lions outdoor pool (2793 Fourth Ave, Jordan Station) - $1 swims are available during extreme heat events.

Splash Pads

Splash pads are open for the 2026 season. 
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

• Jordan Lions Park Splash Pad (2993 Fourth Avenue, Jordan)

(Some shady spots under the sails are available outside the Fleming Centre for those who wish to remain outdoors.)

Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre (3800 Main Street, Jordan)

• Mondays | Closed
• Tuesday to Sunday | 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
