Key highlights of the upcoming 2026 Municipal Elections:

August 21, 2026, at 2 p.m.	Nomination Day is the last day to submit or withdraw a nomination before 2 p.m.
August 24, 2026, at 4 p.m.	Nominations certified by 4 p.m.

October 23, 2026	Last day for third-party advertisers to file their notice of registration

As directed by Council, the Town of Lincoln recently completed a ward boundary and council composition review, resulting in changes to both ward boundaries and the structure of Council (By-law 2025-28). In accordance with the Municipal Act, any person or agency wishing to appeal these changes must do so by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025.
If no appeals are received or if the Ontario Land Tribunal upholds the By-law, the new ward structure and council composition will come into force by December 31, 2025, and will apply to the 2026 municipal election.
