Please be advised that Sixth Avenue will be fully closed to through traffic:
- Wednesday, October 21, 2026, to Thursday, October 22, 2026 (weather permitting)
The closure will be located directly at Balls Falls Bridge. During this time, local traffic will only be permitted on Sixth Avenue between Victoria Avenue and Glen Road.
This temporary closure is required to allow for a geotechnical borehole investigation in support of future design work for the Balls Falls Bridge.
Access during this closure:
Local traffic will be permitted between Victoria Avenue and Glen Road, but traffic will not be able to cross Balls Falls Bridge during this time.
Access to Ball’s Falls Conservation Area will remain available via the following routes:
- From the west: Seventh Avenue and Victoria Avenue, up to Bridge #50.
- From the east: Seventh Avenue, Twenty-First Street and Glen Road, up to Bridge #50.
