Thanksgiving Holiday Hours and Activities in the Town of Lincoln

Lincoln, ON (October 5, 2022) - The Town of Lincoln wishes the community a safe and happy holiday weekend. As we head into the holiday weekend, we encourage residents to enjoy the outdoors and to continue to exercise caution to protect themselves, their families, and the community.

Town facilities and services will have altered hours for the weekend.  Please see below for details.

Town Hall

  • Monday, October 10:  Closed

Town Hall will not accept water samples after 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 6 and will resume accepting water samples on Tuesday, October 11.

Fleming Centre

  • Saturday, October 8: 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 9:  8:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Monday, October 10: Closed.

Jordan Arena

  • Saturday, October 8: 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 9: 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Monday, October 10:  Closed

Lincoln Community Centre

  • Saturday, October 8: Open for private rentals only.
  • Sunday, October 9:  Open for private rentals only.
  • Monday, October 10: Closed.

Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre

  • Saturday, October 8: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • Miss Welstead Schoolhouse Tours | 10:00 a.m. - 4 p.m. | Free
  • Sunday, October 9: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • Book Reading with Sara General and Children’s Craft Day | 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Free
  • Monday, October 10: Closed

Parking:  A small parking lot is located at the back of the building.

Admission:  Admission by donation (suggested $5).  All donations are greatly appreciated.

Lincoln Pelham Public Library (Fleming and Rittenhouse Branches)

  • Saturday, October 8:
    • Fleming Branch:  10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • Rittenhouse Branch:  10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Curbside Pick Up only and Giant Outdoor Book Sale.
  • Sunday, October 9: Closed
  • Monday, October 10: Closed

GO-VAXX Clinics

The following GO-VAXX clinics are currently scheduled in Lincoln:

Eligibility:

GO-VAXX buses and indoor clinics provide:

  • the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, including booster doses, for adults and youth ages 12 and up
  • the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine including, booster doses, for children aged five to 11
  • the bivalent mRNA COVID-19 booster for all eligible populations
  • The paediatric Moderna vaccine for children aged 6 months to 5 years of age will not be available.

Anyone from six months of age to 5 years can book an appointment or walk-in to get vaccinated at Niagara Region Public Health clinics.

  • Appointments for all clinics are recommended and can be booked at Ontario.ca/bookvaccine or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1-833-943-3900. Walk-ins may be accommodated based on vaccine supply.
  • Indoor clinic bookings open now. Bookings for the bus clinics begin four days before the scheduled clinic date.

GO-VAXX mobile clinics are provincially run vaccine clinics with the necessary supplies and trained staff to provide vaccines safely. Vaccines will be administered per the Ministry of Health guidelines, while supplies last. All clinics are fully accessible.
