Waste Collection Service Update
August 5, 2026
- Aug 10-14: Curbside garbage limits will be lifted for flood-related waste on your regular collection day for ALL Town of Lincoln residents. This includes rural areas.
- Residents are not required to book flood-waste related large items for curbside collection. There is no limit to the number of large items you can set out curbside on your scheduled collection day.
- Tipping fees are waived at Niagara Road 12 Landfill from Aug. 6-15 (one pickup truck or trailer is the maximum load).
To support residents impacted by recent flooding, Niagara Region Waste Management is temporarily lifting curbside garbage collection limits for eligible properties in the Town of Lincoln.
Enhanced flood recovery waste collection begins Wednesday, August 5 and will continue through Friday, August 14, 2026, on residents' regularly scheduled collection days.
Please note: This includes garbage collection on August 5, 6 and 7 as well as the week of
August 10.
This temporary service is intended to assist with flood cleanup efforts by allowing eligible households to dispose of additional flood-related waste at no additional cost.
What Residents Need to Know
During the enhanced collection period:
- Garbage collection limits are temporarily lifted for flood-related waste
- Large flood-related items do not require pre-booking
- Construction, demolition, and renovation materials resulting from flood damage may be placed at the curb on scheduled collection days
Examples include:
- Drywall
- Insulation
- Construction wood
- Flooring materials
- Rolled carpeting
- Plumbing pipes
Set-Out Requirements
Residents are reminded that:
- All garbage must be bagged or placed in a container
- Waste must be placed within four feet of the roadway
- Materials intended for collection should be separated from items not intended for collection
- All waste must be at the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day
Items Not Accepted for Curbside Collection
The following materials will not be collected through the enhanced curbside program:
- Household hazardous waste
- Batteries
- Light bulbs
- Paint and oils
- Household appliances (including refrigerators, dishwashers, and laundry machines) - please consider dropping these items off at the Beamsville or Campden Fire Stations' scrap bins. Proceeds go directly back into our community.
- Scrap metal - please consider dropping these items off at the Beamsville or Campden Fire Stations' scrap bins. Proceeds go directly back into our community.
- Liquid materials
These items can be taken to approved Niagara Region waste facilities for proper disposal.
