Lincoln, ON – (November 4, 2024) – The Town of Lincoln proudly marked a new chapter for Jordan Village with the grand re-opening celebration of its recently completed Jordan Village Improvement Project on Saturday, November 2, 2024. This transformative initiative revitalizes the historic and cultural heart of Jordan Village, enhancing its appeal as a vibrant destination for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.

The day-long celebration at the new Jordan Village Pedestrian Square featured a ceremonial ribbon-cutting alongside vibrant entertainment, seasonal activities, and a self-guided Harvest Hop Discovery Pass provided through the Niagara Benchlands. Part of the larger ‘Harvest Hop’ event, this unique experience invited attendees to explore local businesses while enjoying the festive atmosphere. The day highlighted the renewed energy and economic opportunities ignited by the project, which preserves the historic charm of Jordan Village and enhances community life. This celebration underscored the extensive improvements that strengthen the area’s infrastructure and enhance its cultural resilience.

Since breaking ground in March 2022, the Jordan Village Improvement Project has now reached completion as of October 2024. The Town of Lincoln extends its heartfelt thanks to the community—especially local residents and businesses—for their patience, support, and resilience throughout the construction process, acknowledging their vital role in bringing this transformative vision to life.

Through low-impact development techniques and infrastructure enhancements, the Jordan Village Improvement Project has created a safe, accessible, and visually appealing environment, prioritizing active transportation, pedestrian-friendly spaces, and improved amenities.
