Lincoln, ON – (May 1, 2026) – The Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre is inviting the community to experience its historic site in a new way this spring, glass in hand.

The Deep Roots Spring Social is a progressive tasting event that blends local food and wine with history, music, and after-hours access to some of Lincoln’s most beloved historic spaces.

On May 15, 2026, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., guests at the Deep Roots Spring Social will take a curated journey through three historic spaces on the museum site: the main Museum, the 1859 Schoolhouse, and the 1815 Fry House. Visitors will move between buildings throughout the evening, enjoying thoughtfully paired food and wine at each stop, alongside live music and immersive storytelling that brings the site’s history to life.

Designed as both a celebration and a fundraiser, proceeds from the event will directly support the ongoing conservation and care of the Museum’s historic buildings, including essential preservation work in the coming years.

“The Town of Lincoln’s historic buildings are an important part of our community and identity,” said Mayor Sandra Easton. “Events like this help raise funds for their care but also allow people to experience them in a meaningful way. Bringing the community together in these spaces is a great way to support their future.”

“These buildings are really the heart of the site,” said Olivia Rozema, Senior Curator at the Lincoln Museum & Cultural Centre. “They’re the spaces people remember, and they’re used every day for programs, tours, and community events. With conservation work coming up in the next few years, events like this help support the work needed to keep them active and part of the community.”

The evening will feature food by Chef Brad Rempel, wine pairings guided by a local sommelier, and live music by The Olde Tyme Fiddlers throughout the site.

Tickets for the event are $65 per person, with a partial charitable tax receipt issued based on event costs. Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required.
