Proposed Plan

An application has been submitted by Upper Canada Consultants to permit a plan of subdivision known as Tintern Estates. The lands are located on the north side of Spring Creek Road and west side of Tintern Road in Tintern. The subject lands are 20.5 hectares (50.6 acres) and approximately 4.82 hectares (11.9 acres) are located within the Tintern Settlement Boundary.

The draft plan of subdivision proposes 11 single detached lots, six lots will front onto Spring Creek Road (Parcels 1-6) and 5 lots will front onto Tintern Road (Parcels 7-11). The retained lands will be utilized for continued agricultural and environmental conservation uses.

The lands to be developed are designated Rural Settlement in the Town’s Official Plan and are subject to the Hamlet Residential (HR) provisions in the Town’s Zoning By-law.

A copy of the proposed plan of subdivision is included with this notice. This along with all other submitted documents can also be found at the Town’s website: SpeakUpLincoln.ca.

Written Submission

As an alternative, written correspondence can be submitted to the Clerks department by 9 a.m. on March 13, 2025. Any written correspondence will be shared with Committee members and staff. Please note, written correspondence will also be included on the agenda which will be published on the Town’s website and will form part of the public record.

Bill 23, the More Homes Built Faster Act, was enacted in November 2022, and removed the requirement to hold a statutory public meeting for Draft Plan of Subdivision applications. As such, a Statutory Public meeting will not be held for this application; however, an informal Open House is to be held to allow residents an opportunity to participate in the process. Feedback received from the Open House will inform the detailed Recommendation Report to be considered at Committee of the Whole on March 17, 2025.
