Public Notice: Do not consume discarded coffee discovered in several locations within the Town of Lincoln

The following is a statement from Balzac's Coffee that was shared with the Town of Lincoln on September 27, 2024. 

URGENT WARNING FOR LINCOLN RESIDENTS
Do Not Consume Discarded Coffee discovered on Mountainview Road and other locations

Due to a risk to health, we strongly warn all residents: DO NOT consume any of the coffee that has been collected from the roadside.

Friday, September 27, 2024, LINCOLN, ON – Earlier today, several cases of Balzac's Coffee were discovered discarded at a few locations within the Town of Lincoln, all in Beamsville:

  • Mountainview Road near McLeod Street
  • Sann Road near South Service Road
  • Mountainview Road near South Service Road
  • Locust Lane near McLeod Street

It is believed these cases originated from a truck stolen in February 2024 in Milton.
We have learned that many of these boxes have already been picked up by local residents. Since the product has been outside the brand’s control for an extended period, it cannot be guaranteed that it has not been tampered with or that it is safe for consumption. 

For your safety and the safety of others, please dispose of any coffee you may have picked up immediately.

If you may be in possession of these items, we are requesting images to trace them back to the stolen shipment be sent to anthony.an@balzacs.com. We appreciate the community's cooperation in this matter.
