
Please be advised that Ontario Street, approximately 100m north of Greenlane, will be temporarily closed for unplanned rail crossing repairs scheduled by CN. The closure will be in effect on:
Date/Time:
- Tuesday, September 10 to Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily
CN has coordinated this work to align with ongoing construction at the Greenlane and Ontario Street intersection, which was previously communicated through direct notices, newsletters, signage, and social media. The closure at this intersection will remain in effect until Friday, September 13 (or the next business day, weather permitting).
Detours:
- Detour 1: South Service Road > Bartlett Road > King Street
- Detour 2: King Street > Greenlane > Lincoln Street > South Service Road
Access Information:
- Access to the Sobeys plaza from Ontario Street northbound will be temporarily restored after 5 p.m. each day. Full access will be restored by approximately 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11.
- Emergency Services will have through access during the closure.
- Police will be onsite to direct traffic.
Senior staff are onsite to expedite the work and minimize disruption to local businesses.
