Lincoln, ON – (June 18, 2024) – The Downtown Bench Beamsville BIA in partnership with the Town of Lincoln are thrilled to host Art Lives Here again in 2024, in celebration of Lincoln’s vibrant arts, culture, and heritage community.

The three-day event will include the highly anticipated Arts Lives Here Trail on June 21-23, 2024. Participants are invited to visit various venues across the community, highlighting multiple arts and cultural offerings throughout Lincoln.

Anchoring the trail is the Art Lives Here Festival on June 22 from 1-8 p.m. on site of the Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre. Festival goers can immerse themselves in a pop-up art village at the Museum & Cultural Centre’s historic site, where contemporary artists will bring the space to life with demonstrations, installations, and hands-on craft activities.

“Arts Lives Here is a beacon of cultural and creative excellence in Lincoln, and we are thrilled to host this event in our community again this year,” said Town of Lincoln Mayor Sandra Easton. “Through federal funding and the collaboration of artists in our community, we are able to promote the creative spirit in our community and encourage all community members to learn more about art and culture here in Lincoln.”

Lincoln is home to many talented artists, musicians and performers. From galleries and studios to unique landscapes, ALH invites everyone to discover, engage, and connect with Lincoln's vibrant artistic community. Art Lives Here will guide you through the community to meet makers, and artists, and visit our cultural attractions.

“Arts Lives Here is an opportunity to engage with artists in the places they work and go behind the scenes to look at how and where art is created,” said Olivia Rozema, Curator of Education and Engagement for the Town of Lincoln. “It will be a weekend dedicated to celebrating art in Lincoln with curated festivals, family activities, concerts, and cultural events. Participants will experience public spaces in new ways that highlight the creativity of the community.”

Art Lives Here is a collaboration between Downtown Bench Beamsville BIA, the Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre staff, and Lincoln’s arts and culture creators. The three-day celebration will incorporate 20+ events and exhibits spread across 12 venues and brings together the work of over 100 artists and makers.
