Project Locations:

Project Background:

The Town employed the services of CIMA+ Engineering in 2022 to assist in improving safety at eight key uncontrolled pedestrian crossings within the Town.

Connor Drive

This location has been designed with a bump-out from the walkway into Connor Drive with a raised uncontrolled concrete pedestrian crossing to the west side curb. This bump-out will reduce the pavement width and provide pedestrians with increased visibility to look for gaps in traffic, while the raised crossing will assist in reducing vehicular speeds at this location. Two asphalt speed humps will be constructed on each side of the uncontrolled crossing approximately 90m away to reduce the speeds in advance of the uncontrolled pedestrian crossing.

Stadelbauer Drive

As part of this design, the locations of the two asphalt speed humps on Stadelbauer Drive between Kayla Street and Highland Park Drive were determined to help slow traffic. Please see the Location Map below.
