Lincoln, ON (September 29, 2022) – The Town successfully hosted their first Tree Giveaway and Subsidized Rain Barrel Sale in May 2022. The Town gave away 500 free native trees and 187 subsidized rain barrels at the drive-through event. The event partnered with Brock University, the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, and Tree-O-Code Canada, allowing residents to receive packaged wildflower seeds, educational resources, and native trees.
The spring initiative was successful, and the Town of Lincoln was overwhelmed with the community response; the Town is offering the Fall 2022 Tree Giveaway and Rain Barrel Sale will be drive-thru contactless pickup, held at the Lincoln Community Centre (4361 Central Ave. Beamsville, ON) from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
The tree giveaway is open to Lincoln residents only. Upon pickup, identification with proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or recent utility bill, will be required. Orders with billing addresses not located in the Town of Lincoln will be cancelled. Limit of one tree and two rain barrels per household.

The tree species available include:
- Eastern White Cedar
- White Birch
- Freeman maple
- Nannyberry
Trees are approx. 80-100cm (approx. 3ft) tall and will be in 3gal pots. Homeowners are responsible for planting, watering and maintaining the private tree.
Purchase a Rain Barrel
Rain barrels are available at a subsidized cost of $54.91 + tax, with a limit of two rain barrels per household.
