Town Issuing Voter Information Notice for 2022 Municipal Election

Lincoln, ON (September 20, 2022) - Town of Lincoln voters will receive their Voter Information Notice by mail the week of September 19. The notice will tell you where and when you can vote, including advance and internet voting.

If a voter has not received their Voter Information Notice in the mail by September 30, 2022, please contact the Clerks and Legislative Services Department:

  • Visit Town Hall, 4800 South Service Rd, Beamsville, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m.
  • Call the Elections Hotline (905) 563-2800
  • Email elections@lincoln.ca

To be eligible to vote in the 2022 Municipal and School Board Elections, you must be:

  • A Canadian citizen,
  • At least 18 years old, and
  • A resident of the Town of Lincoln or
  • A non-resident, but you or your spouse own or rent property in the Town of Lincoln

Please remember that identification is required when you vote. Please remember to bring your Voter Information Notice and ID to make the process more efficient. You will need to show your ID, which contains your name and address. You may have to show two pieces of ID to accomplish this. Please bring an original, or certified/notarized copy, of any of the following documents:

  • Ontario driver’s licence
  • Mortgage, lease, or rental agreement
  • Insurance policy
  • Credit card statement
  • Bill for hydro, water, gas, telephone, internet

A Canadian passport is not an acceptable identification document because the address inside your passport is handwritten.

Should there be any postal disruptions by Canada Post, the Town has identified pick-up locations (if required) so that residents will have the ability to pick up their voter notification notices. Residents will be informed of locations through the newspaper, Town’s website, social media and posters throughout our Town facilities.
