Temporary Road Closure: High Road at High Road Bridge

Please be advised that rehabilitation work of the gabion wall at High Road Bridge is scheduled to begin.

What to Expect

  • High Road, just off of Bethesda Road will be closed to through traffic.
  • Monday, August 25, 2025, to Friday September 19, 2025 (weather permitting).
  • Residents will not have access to High Road off of Bethesda Road, however, driveway access will be maintained.

Additional Information:

  • Traffic in the area may be impacted at various times throughout the duration of the work.
  • Reconstruction includes riprap and geotextile installation, concrete refacing, and final site restoration using topsoil, seeding, and mulching.
  • Properties directly within the work area will have driveway access throughout the period of construction.
  • Fire and emergency services have been contacted and are aware of the temporary road closure.

Background:

The Town of Lincoln focuses on maintaining our assets as well as improving the service life and functionality of each item. As a result of the 2024 Bridge and Culvert Inspections, the High Road Bridge has been identified as a candidate for rehabilitation. The contract was posted publicly for competitive bidding and was awarded to Ranking Construction Inc.
