Statement from the Town of Lincoln recognizing Saskatchewan residential school victims

The Town of Lincoln is lowering flags at Town Hall to half-mast to mourn the 751 unmarked graves recovered at a cemetery near the former Marieval Indian Residential School in Saskatchewan. We extend condolences to the Cowessess First Nation and all Indigenous communities at this difficult time.

We mourn with you for this terrible loss, and we are working towards moving forward collectively from this tragedy to make Canada and the Lincoln community a more inclusive space for all.

For those looking for support, the 24-Hour Residential School Crisis Line is available for former residential school students and others by calling 1-866-925-4419.
