Lincoln, ON – (January 28, 2026) – The Town of Lincoln is declaring the current Keep it Clear and Significant Weather Events ended as of 9 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
Keep It Clear began early afternoon on January 25 and was declared in response to a system predicted to bring local snowfall amounts of up to 10-20 cm.
The Significant Weather Event was declared on January 25 due to the Orange Weather Alert calling for higher snowfall amounts of 20-35 cm. Municipalities in Ontario, including the Town of Lincoln, may declare a Significant Weather Event when they anticipate that their winter response may take longer than normal and they may be unable to meet the Provincial Minimum Maintenance Standards.
While on-street parking is once again permitted, we ask everyone to be considerate when parking on Town streets and allow enough space for cars to pass through. Please be mindful of snowbanks and narrow sections on many secondary roads.
Children are reminded to not play on roads or on snowbanks close to roads, and to not build snow forts or tunnels close to roads, as drivers are unable to see them.
We all have a responsibility to help keep our roads safe for residents and travelers.
