Lincoln, ON – (January 16, 2026) – The Town of Lincoln is declaring the current Keep it Clear event and Significant Weather Event ended as of 3:30 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026.
Keep It Clear began on January 15 and was declared in response to a forecasted winter event that predicted snowfall amounts of more than 5 cm.
The volume of snowfall was significant enough that the Town declared a Significant Weather Event. The declaration gave snow maintenance crews more time to keep pace with the snowy conditions.
While on-street parking is once again permitted, we ask everyone to be considerate when parking on Town streets and allow enough space for cars to pass through. Please be mindful of snowbanks and narrow sections on many secondary roads.
Children are reminded to not play on roads or on snowbanks close to roads, and to not build snow forts or tunnels close to roads, as drivers are unable to see them.
Residents and business owners are also reminded to clear snow and ice away from fire hydrants. Keeping hydrants visible and accessible helps Lincoln Fire Rescue respond quickly in an emergency—saving valuable time when it matters most.
We all have a responsibility to help keep our roads safe for residents and travelers.
