The Niagara Region is accepting applications from Lincoln and West Lincoln youth to join the Regional Chair's Youth Advisory Panel (RCYAP).
Established in late 2021, the Regional Chair’s Youth Advisory Panel is comprised of one representative from each of Niagara’s 12 municipalities. The panel offers youth 13-19 years of age the opportunity to provide advice on policies, programs and services that affect young people across Niagara, while also acting as a centralized “hub” for information sharing between the region’s local municipalities.
Applications are being sought from youth who have leadership experience, an understanding of the importance of local government and who have a diverse background. Prior experience on an advisory board is not required, but applicants are encouraged to share examples of times they had to cooperate in a large group to come to consensus and arrive at a final decision
