Lincoln, ON – (May 4, 2023) – The Town of Lincoln is announcing today the local charities who will benefit from the new format for Mayor Easton’s 2023 Charity Golf Tournament.
In 2023, the Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament will partner solely with the Niagara Community Foundation and other charities throughout Lincoln, with 100% of the net proceeds going back to charities in Lincoln, a sector that works on behalf of those in need in our community.
“Over the past 10 years we have worked collectively with the Chamber of Commerce to raise thousands of dollars in support of charities and not-for-profit organizations throughout Lincoln,” said Town of Lincoln Mayor Sandra Easton. “We are supportive of the Chamber’s proposed new format for their golf tournament, one that will focus on their branding and help to elevate their organization. We look forward to participating in their new tournament and continuing our working relationship we have built on behalf of Lincoln businesses, and in support of not-for-profit groups.”

Background on Mayor’s annual golf tournament:
Since Mayor Easton became Mayor of the Town of Lincoln in 2014, donations from her annual golf tournament have been made to local agencies of more than $105,000 providing vital community support in addition to funds being added to The Lincoln Community Fund. The Lincoln Community Fund was started by Mayor Easton’s office in 2015 through the Niagara Community Foundation and also provide grants to charities serving the community.
