On Wednesday, March 8, 2023 Canadian Army Reserve personnel from 31 Service Battalion - 23 Support Company will be conducting convoy training in Hamilton, Beamsville, and Hannon, Ontario. Activities will include convoy drills on a planned, return route departing Hamilton, and including dismounted drills in Beamsville, Ont.

All activities will occur Wednesday evening. Members of the public may see military vehicles on the following major highways: Highway 403, Redhill Parkway, Lincoln Alexander Parkway, Highway 8 and throughout Hamilton, Beamsville and Hannon.

This important training is being conducted in order to keep Canadian Army Reserve members’ skills current in convoy drills, unit cohesion and discipline, and the operation of specific vehicle platforms while confirming driver and safety procedures.

31 Canadian Brigade Group is headquartered in London, Ontario, and has over 2,500 members across Southwestern Ontario. Most of these soldiers are Army Reservists, and many of them are preparing to deploy overseas on international stability operations with Canadian partners and allies in various regions.

All measures are being taken to ensure minimum inconvenience to those in the area during the exercise dates. Members of the public are asked to take extra caution when approaching military vehicles and are thanked in advance for their understanding and co-operation.
