Property owners can also avoid penalty charges by ensuring all payments are received by the due date. Payments made directly through financial institutions should be made 3-5 days in advance of the due date to allow for bank processing time.
Residents who did not receive their final tax bill (which should have been received by July 10, 2023) are encouraged to contact the Tax Department via email at tax@lincoln.ca or by phone at 905-563-2799 ext. 222. Residents are encouraged to review the insert included with their property tax bill that explains the breakdown of taxes between Region, Education and Town, and details frequently asked questions regarding taxes in Lincoln.
Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP) Plans
Enrolment in the pre-authorized payment plan is the best way to ensure on-time payments. Property owners can take advantage of the pre-authorized payment options, which allow payments to be spread into 4 or 10 payments, without incurring interest charges over the term of the plan as long as there is no balance owing from previous years.
For accounts that are already enrolled, your new amount is noted on the bottom of your tax bill. It is calculated by dividing your current balance by four (July 15-October 15).
