Lincoln, ON – (August 7, 2025) – The Town of Lincoln today marked the ceremonial groundbreaking for a new Hampton by Hilton hotel at 4711 Ontario Street in Beamsville, just off the QEW. The five-storey development will feature 100 guest rooms, an indoor pool, and 2,300 sq. ft. of modern conference space, addressing a long-standing gap in local accommodations and event infrastructure.
With an estimated construction value of nearly $20 million, the project represents one of the most significant private-sector tourism investments in Lincoln’s recent history.
Developed by local investor, Aftab Qaisar, with design by Mataj Architects and planning support from Upper Canada Consultants, the hotel is expected to open by August 2026. Qaisar will also serve as the hotel's owner and operator.
“This is a proud day for Lincoln,” said Mayor Sandra Easton. “This $20 million investment by Hampton by Hilton marks a turning point for Lincoln’s tourism sector and reflects growing confidence in our community as a place to invest, grow, and thrive.”
The hotel will operate under a franchise agreement with Hilton, providing a trusted accommodation option for visitors, business travelers, and event attendees.
“This development fills a vital need in Lincoln,” said Paul Di Ianni, Director of Economic Development and Communications. “With $20 million in new investment, the hotel will support businesses, boost tourism, generate jobs, and help us attract events and conferences we previously could not accommodate.”
“This hotel is a strong example of how we’re putting our Tourism Strategy into action,” said Ward 3 Councillor Anna Murre, Chair of the Planning & Economic Development Committee. “It brings new capacity to support our visitor economy, while helping to elevate Lincoln’s profile as a destination for both leisure and business travel.”
Economic projections suggest the project will generate numerous construction and approximately 50 long-term service-sector jobs, with positive spin-offs across hospitality, local suppliers, and supporting industries.
Situated amid Lincoln’s wine country, close to the Lake Ontario waterfront and the Niagara Escarpment UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the hotel’s location offers quick access to nature, culture, and commerce. Its proximity to the QEW ensures convenience for regional and cross-border travelers.
This groundbreaking underscores Lincoln’s identity as a place to grow, a place to prosper, and a place to belong.
