Statement from the Town on community vaccination clinics.
December 18, 2021 - (Lincoln, ON) - The province of Ontario operates the vaccination clinic held this weekend at the Lincoln Community Centre. The Town of Lincoln has actively sought opportunities to have the clinic available in our community for our residents; by providing the space to host the vaccination clinic. The number of available vaccinations at the clinics is determined by the province of Ontario and the Town assists with securing an appropriate site to host the clinic.
We know that the number of cases is rising in Niagara and Ontario. In consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, the Ontario government is taking action to encourage vaccination further and help limit the spread of COVID-19 and the Omicron variant. The measures were established to help reduce the risk of transmission during the winter months and encourage every eligible Ontarian to get their vaccine to protect hospital capacity.
The clinic will be running again tomorrow, December 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for those interested. Vaccinations will be on a first-come, first-served basis. When planning to attend the clinic tomorrow, we ask you to please expect a line, dress accordingly for the weather, wear your face covering, and please exercise kindness and compassion.
We have been through many challenges together through the pandemic and know we can do it again; we have demonstrated we are a resilient community. Please stay safe and get your vaccination when it’s available to you.
