The Town of Lincoln is now accepting applications for the position of Seasonal Museum Interpreter at the Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre. The successful candidate will primarily deliver costumed interpretive tours of the Museum’s historic buildings.
Additional responsibilities may include supporting educational programming, representing the museum in community outreach and special events, supporting visitor engagement, and working with youth volunteers under staff supervision.
The Successful Candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Current Standard First Aid / CPR C certification;
- Experience within a museum setting;
- Pursuing a degree / diploma in education, museum studies, history, arts, art history, or related field;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Experience and/or comfort with costumed interpretation;
- Valid Police Waiver (for those candidates over the age of 18).
This is a full-time summer student position based on 35 hours a week. Eligibility requirements will be confirmed as part of the hiring process. The hourly rate is $19.41.
