Thank you for your interest in becoming an election worker for the Town of Lincoln’s 2026 Municipal Election.
We are currently recruiting election workers for Election Day on Monday, October 26, 2026. To help ensure a smooth and successful election, we are seeking community members to fill a variety of paid positions. Working as an election official is a rewarding opportunity to serve your community, gain valuable experience, and play an important role in the democratic process. We encourage interested and eligible individuals to apply and be part of the team that helps residents cast their vote.
Before you apply, please note that candidates; candidates' spouses; members of candidates' immediate families; or persons connected to candidates' election campaigns are not eligible for election employment.
Election workers must:
- be a Canadian citizen.
- be 18 years of age or older by October 26, 2026.
- attend mandatory training prior to Election Day on October 26, 2026.
- arrive at the polling location 1.5 hours before voting locations open at 10 a.m.
- remain at your assigned polling location for the consecutive 12 hours of a shift.
- be comfortable following direction to perform repetitive tasks that require attention to detail and deliver excellent customer service.
Some roles have preferred requirements unique to the position, such as access to a personal vehicle, being able to lift up to 40 lbs. and sit or stand for extended periods of time.
