Lakeshore Roads and Shoreline Protection Project

Project Update

The Town of Lincoln is continuing its efforts to address flooding and erosion along the Lake Ontario shoreline between Thirty Road and Victoria Avenue. Following two Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) studies completed in 2022 and 2023, several solutions have been identified to protect the shoreline, mitigate erosion, and ensure safe access for residents and emergency services. The project includes road relocations, shoreline protection works, and infrastructure improvements across multiple phases.

Phase 1A of the project, which focuses on relocating a section of Lakeside Drive, is outlined below. This phase is followed by other improvements planned for Lakeshore Road, Verity Lane, and Sandy Cove Drive over the coming years.

The Town is currently engaging directly with property owners. Stay tuned for updates and more details on how this critical project will help protect our shoreline and local infrastructure.
