Waste and Recycling

The Niagara Region oversees recycling and waste collection in the Town of Lincoln, as well as Niagara's 11 other lower-tier municipalities. The Niagara Region handles the following services:

  • Garbage
  • Recycling
  • Organics and composting
  • Household Hazardous Waste
  • Large item collection
  • Landfill sites

New homeowners are entitled to obtain one free Blue Box, Grey Box, Kitchen Catcher and Green Bin if they do not have them already.

To pick up free containers:

  • Visit the Town of Lincoln Municipal Offices within six months of taking possession of your house
  • Bring documentation that clearly identifies the homeowner's name and reflects the date of home purchase or possession, such as the transfer deed's registration number, or real estate papers

Free containers are not available to tenants/renters.

In additon to new homeowners picking up free containers, residents can visit Town Hall to replace broken containers or purchase new recycling containers.

Apartments / business can order large carts online.
