REVISED NOTICE OF WORKSHOP #2
PROPOSED MIXED USE AND INTENSIFICATION
COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN

Earlier correspondence dated June 3, 2016, informed that an evening presentation to the Economic Development and Planning Committee would take place on June 21, 2016.  That meeting date has been rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.  The new meeting date for the Economic Development and Planning Committee meeting will be the evening of Wednesday June 29, 2016.  The details are outlined below.  The afternoon workshop scheduled for June 21, 2016 has not been rescheduled.

The Town of Lincoln has retained RCI Consulting to prepare a Mixed-Use and Residential Intensification Community Improvement Plan for Lincoln. A Community Improvement Plan (CIP) is a planning and economic development framework that may include financial incentive programs designed to stimulate private sector investment and development.

The focus of the Mixed-Use and Residential Intensification Community Improvement Plan is to review the areas in the Town that have been designated and/or zoned for medium and high density residential uses, mixed-use, and areas that have been designated as Intensification Corridors, and identify ways to encourage apartments and other forms of higher density housing as well as commercial/residential mixed-uses in these areas.

Workshop #1 was held on May 9, 2016. During this meeting, the CIP Consultant presented best practices in other municipalities, mixed use and intensification community improvement needs in Lincoln, and preliminary incentive program concepts.

Workshop #2 will include a project update from the Consultant, including a summary of the input from the first workshop, and presentation by the consultant of the draft CIP incentive programs. The presentation will be followed by a break-out session into smaller groups to obtain your views regarding the draft incentive programs.

The afternoon workshop will be held as follows:
