Canada 150 Mural Mosaic

Canada 150 Mural Mosaic

Mural Mosaic began in 2003 and was founded by Lewis Lavoie, Paul Lavoie and Phil Alain. Their murals have been featured at events such as the Vancouver and London Olympics as well as the Calgary Stampede.

In 2017, Canada will turn 150 years old!

The Mural Mosaic Team plans to create a mural including all provinces and territories.

  • There will be over 80,000 painting and 150 individual murals that when virtually connected will form one gigantic mural mosaic
  • If they were ever put together the mural would be over 365 meters wide (4 football fields) and 2.5 meters high (8 feet)
  • The Mural will represent a cultural mosaic, a time capsule, a visual portrayal of history, an art masterpiece from the source of the nation

Town of Lincoln participation

The Town of Lincoln is one of the 150 communities across Canada to complete one of the 150 murals. The completed mosaic will reside in the Town as a reminder of the 150th anniversary and the pride of the community.

Come join fellow residents and community ambassadors to paint one of 400 tiles (4x4 inches) that will form our 8 foot x 8 foot Community Mural. You do not have to be an artist - any skill level and all ages are welcome.
