Canada 150 Celebration Garden

Canada 150 Celebration Garden

Blooming Spring 2017 - A sea of tulips at Town Hall!

In September 2016 the Town of Lincoln was announced as a recipient of one of the 150, ‘150th Celebration Gardens’ being distributed across Canada.

The Canadian Garden Council in collaboration with Vesey’s Bulbs of PEI awarded 150 communities with the celebration garden. Containing 1000 tulip bulbs, the international symbol of friendship and an enduring symbol of our national ethos of kindness and hospitality, the 150th Celebration Garden is a terrific way to say “Happy Birthday” to Our Home and Native Land.

The garden, consisting of 500 red and 500 white tulip bulbs, generously donated by Vesey’s Bulbs of PEI, was planted by a group of volunteers mainly from Beamsville Scouts and local community members, at Town Hall by the celebration flagpole in early November 2016.

Our garden will be featured on Canada’s Garden Route and will be symbolically linked to a Flagship 150th Celebration Garden Promenade, consisting of 25,000 tulips adjacent to Niagara Falls.

The Town of Lincoln thanks all those that made this heartwarming program possible:
